World of Waterlilies Season

1st – 23rd December

At the gardens we have over 150 different varieties of waterlily plants that producing thousands of blooms every day. Our displays, lakes and ponds feature many hardy (or temperate) varieties that love to grow in cool climates. And we have many sub-tropical and tropical varieties that produce a stunning range of colours.

December it’s also a time when the garden’s many trees, shrubs and plants are covered in new growth. And thousands of lotus buds start to emerge with more and more flowers opening each day.

And on weekends and public holidays we offer activities for the little ones including visits from the Fairy Queen. The garden is a great family venue with fantastic picnic facilities and plenty of space for the kids to run around and explore nature.
