A world of water flowers and fun is waiting for you
The Blue Lotus Water Garden is one of Australia’s most spectacular seasonal gardens. Each year the gardens holds two stunning floral events starting with the famous Lotus Flower Season (26th December to 20th March). This is followed by our second floral event, the beautiful Autumn Flower Season (21st March to mid-April).
During the Lotus Flower Season, visitors will experience the world’s most extensive collection of lotus flower varieties which produce millions of huge flowers spread over 14 acres of water gardens. Highlights include Lotus Lake and Lotus Wetlands with thousands of blooms each day, creating a virtual sea of flowers in every direction. A special feature is the Giants of the Amazon exhibit displaying one of the world’s largest waterlily species, Victoria Cruziana. The lily pads can get as big as a dinner table (1.5 metres in diameter).
Visitors will love exploring the tropical-themed gardens with its amazing array of exotic plants, garden exhibits, fountains, waterfalls, floral sculptures, walks and scenic vistas.

Cochrane Lake & Bridge Walk
Experience wonderful vistas and thousands of water flowers when you explore our famous bridge walk that run thourgh the middle of our largest lake.
Lotus Lake & Golden Lotus
Witness the largest display of lotus flowers in the garden with thousand of flowers on display. See our unique Golden Lotus, one of the biggest lotus flowers in the world.
Giants of the Amazon
See the World’s biggest waterlily species that can hold heavy weights (note: we don’t allow visitors to sit or float on lily pads).
Lotus Wetlands
Surround yourself in a virtual forest of huge lotus flowers that grow up to 6ft tall.
Dragons Trail
Meet our friendly dragons at the end of a magical trail that winds past waterfalls and through majestic lotus flowers.
Native Beauties
See the amazing native Australian waterlilies and lotus in our Kakadu Lagoon display.
River Walk & Bird Watching
Enjoy the wonders of our native enviroment with towering river gums and tree ferns. A great place to catch a glimpse of many native birds.
Kids Fun & Fairy Garden
